The Ryedale Show is held on the last Tuesday of July on an annual basis. It is located about 1 mile West of Kirkbymoorside in Welburn Park. Established in 1855 the next Ryedale Show will be the 146th and held on Tuesday 31st July 2012. The show is run by both the farming community and townspeople and features attractions for everyone of all ages such as show jumping and dog shows right down to photography competitions. As with most country shows you will find cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, fur and feather and plenty of entertainment in addition to around 200 trade stands. In 2007 the Ryedale Show was cancelled due to a waterlogged site. This was only the second cancellation in it's entire history.
